Blessing Creek Farms (3400 Bronco Rd., Lafayette, GA) is only about forty-five minutes away from downtown Chattanooga and it is well worth the drive. Not only do you get to see some adorable highland cows, you also get to pet and feed them, and interact with goats, sheep, bunnies, a miniature donkey, and the sweet Great Pyrenees dog that helps protect them. If your timing is right, you’ll even get to cuddle with some of the babies.

The best way to tell you about how much fun this farm is, is to just show you. =)

These are the big boys and girls. You can’t go into the field with them, because they don’t know their own size and they can easily step on you, but you still get to pet them and feed them treats.

Honey, Merlin, their sweet Great Pyrenees protector, and other friends loved to be brushed and cuddled.

This bunny was so sweet and SO soft. Skye told us that it used to be a classroom bunny before she got it. So it likes to roam free as much as it can now. But it let us hold it for a little while and give it snuggles. I was so engrossed in petting it and talking to it that I forgot what she said its name is. Ha!

But this…this, I think, was my favorite part of the tour. Getting to feed the one month old baby goats, a mama goat (who was about to pop out another baby soon), sheep, and a one week old baby cow.

I mean…how adorable is this little face.

The goats were mischievous little things. When we walked out of the pen, so did they and they went right over to the food. The little brown one actually ended up jumping down into the black barrel it’s leaning over. It was quite funny watching them all.

After snack time, they all settled down to enjoy the warm sunshine.

But seriously, look at this adorable face. And those little teefers.

Most of the animals that were in this enclosure were napping, so we didn’t bother them, but a couple little friends came to say hi.

I could have stayed here all day bouncing back and forth between all of these precious animals; petting them and giving them snacks.

Seeing how much love this family-owned farm gives them all makes my heart happy. A lot of them are rescues from different situations and they are given a loving home here.

Check out their website to find out more about what type of tours they have available and what special events are coming up. And if you go, give all of the animals an extra hug from me.

If you’re looking for more things to do in the Chattanooga area, I have an entire post, here.
